TP 425 B
Application :
Description
TP 425 B is a board made of glass wool with one-sided black glass fibre tissue, steam-permeable, available in various thickness options.
TP 425 B is mainly intended for heat and acoustic insulation of ventilated facades.
TP 425 B boards are coated with reinforced glass fibre tissue, which improves its hydrophobic and insulating properties and prevents moisture from entering from the outside. Thus, the black glass fibre tissue serves as wind insulation
Applications
As heat and acoustic insulation of outer walls by means of light dry method with various types of facing (e.g. glass, stone, aluminium, etc.).
As heat and acoustic insulation of outer multi-layer ventilated walls.
Installation - light-dry method
The light dry method consists in the attaching of wooden or steel studding to a load-bearing wall. TP 425 B glass wool boards should be put in between the studding. They should adhere closely to the surface of the wall. A possible, additional manner of fastening TP 425 B boards to the wall should be determined by a design engineer depending on wind load, taking into account the strengthening of wind suction at the edges of a building. A vertical supporting structure should be fastened to a horizontal load-carrying studding under the facade facing, which is further fastened to the structure prepared this way. A ventilation gap formed between the TP 425 B boards and the facing should have at least 20mm. Different types of wall covering can be used as facade facing: plastics, glass or heavy stone facing. The whole structure of the ventilated facade should have air vents, which deliver air to a ventilation gap, of cross-sections of at least 50 cm2/m of the wall length.
Installation - multi-layer ventilated walls
Multi-layer ventilated walls form a wall with the inner gap separating a load-bearing layer of the wall from an outer layer serving as facing. This is the most favourable structure considering heat and moisture phenomena occurring in the outer partition. Appropriate ties are mounted on the surface of the load-bearing wall and a layer of heat insulation from TP 425 B boards is fastened to them. Appropriate plate holders with drips should be fastened to the ties. Then, the outer, facing layer is made of, e.g., clinker brick. The ventilation gap between the heat insulation of TP 425 B boards and the layer of the wall should have 20 mm minimum and not exceed 60 mm, because the wider a gap, the bigger convection motion is, which is unfavourable to the entire structural system of the partition. Ventilated gaps should be connected with atmospheric air throughout the cross-section or by air vents of a cross-section of approx. 30% of the ventilated gap cross-section if these vents are intended for each storey. Walls with a ventilated gap with the heat insulation of TP 425 B boards are the most resistant to the dampening of the outer wall structure.

Technical Properties
Thermal Performance
Thermal conductivity coefficient λD TP 425 B amounts to 0,035 W/mK. The chart presented above also shows thermal resistance (R) for each thickness option of the product.
Acoustic Peformance
TP 425 B increases the resistance of the partition to sound transmission, its air flow resistance is 5 kPa.s/m2.
Fire Resistance
TP 425 B is a non-flammable product of fire reaction class A1 in the Euroclass system.
Supplementary Properties
Boards TP 425 B do not absorb moisture and are resistant to capillary rising. The diffusion resistance factor is μ=1. They are characterized by increased rigidity, water resistance and wind resistance. They are not conducive to the growth of bacteria. They are chemically neutral and do not cause corrosion. They do not contain impurities or non-fibre particles.
Benefits
- Heat and acoustic insulation combined with wind insulation in one board.
- Lower costs of heating thanks to the reduction of heat loss through partitions.
- Improved acoustic insulation.
- Fire-safety – TP 425 B is a non-flammable product.
- High class of dimension stability.
- Increased hydrophobicity – low absorbability both during short and long-lasting immersion.
Certification
TP 425 B possesses CE marking.
The CE marking code: MW-EN 13162-T4-WS-WL(P)-AF5.
